Questions about your Membership and Renewal
How to Renew for Existing Members
Renewal Notifications: Renewal notices are sent via email beginning 45 days before your membership expires. These emails include instructions on how to renew. Additionally, when you log in to the Tripoli website during your renewal window, a reminder will be displayed.
Early Renewal: If you wish to renew before your membership is due, go to your profile. You'll see a message indicating that your renewal isn't due yet, but you will also be provided with a link to renew early if you'd like.
Auto-Renewal for Senior Members
Automatic renewal is available for Senior members who pay with a credit card.
How to Set Up Auto-Renewal
When you renew your membership, select the member type “
Sr. Member (auto) - Insured”. During payment, use a credit card—your payment information will be securely stored by our partner, Stripe. After setting this up, your membership will automatically renew about a week before it expires, and your credit card will be charged within a few days.
Please note, if you are joining as a new member, you can choose to enable auto-renewal the first time you renew. Going forward, no further action will be required for future renewals. However, if you hold a Junior or Student membership, auto-renewal is not available—this feature is only for Senior members.
If you have already paid for your current membership, you can still opt into auto-renewal the next time you renew, even if you choose to renew early.
Managing Your Auto-Renewal
You will still receive renewal reminders via email, but no action is needed unless you wish to disable auto-renewal. To turn it off, simply choose the
"Senior Member - Insured" type instead of
"Sr. Member (auto) - Insured" during your next renewal, and your membership will no longer renew automatically.
In case your credit card expires, you can easily update your payment information at any time by logging into your profile on the Tripoli website. Rest assured, Tripoli only retains a portion of your card details for record-keeping, and all payment information is securely stored by Stripe.
While credit cards can be used for auto-renewal, PayPal is not compatible with this feature. If you use PayPal, you'll need to manually renew your membership each year.
If you wish to discontinue your membership altogether, make sure to disable auto-renewal at least one week before your expiration date to avoid any charges. Keep in mind, however, that Tripoli membership fees are non-refundable and cannot be prorated upon cancellation.
