Tripoli Rocketry Association is pleased to recognize member Fred Taverni (TRA #07716, Level 3) for achieving an extraordinary milestone in high power rocketry. Fred has officially earned a place in the Tripoli Million Feet Club.
The Million Feet Club recognizes members whose recorded flights collectively exceed one million feet of altitude. It represents a sustained commitment to flying, experimentation, and careful documentation over many launches.
Fred’s submission includes a detailed record of more than 800 flights in which altimeters were used to record altitude. These flights range from a few hundred feet to over 40,000 feet. When combined, the documented flights total nearly 2.5 million feet of accumulated altitude.
Reaching this level requires years of steady flying and meticulous record keeping. Flights across many rockets, motors, and launch conditions all contribute to the final total. Fred’s achievement reflects both the persistence and technical discipline that characterize many long-time Tripoli flyers.
The Tripoli Board congratulates Fred on reaching this impressive milestone and welcomes him into the Million Feet Club.
