Tripoli is excited to announce a new series of certifications and approvals completed by the newly reactivated Tripoli Motor Testing (TMT) Committee under the leadership of Art Hoag. After extensive testing to NFPA 1125 standards, both updated motor designs and several brand-new motors are now officially approved for hobby rocketry use.
Design Changes Approved:
- Quest Q-Jet D16FJ – nozzle change from clay to phenolic insert
- Quest Q-Jet D20W – nozzle change from clay to phenolic insert
- Quest Q-Jet E26W – nozzle change from clay to phenolic insert
- Quest Q-Jet E35W – nozzle change from clay to phenolic insert
Newly Certified Motors:
- AeroTech F115SN DMS – newly certified
- Enerjet by AeroTech G73C (Enerjet 30) – newly certified
- AeroTech J550ST RMS – newly certified
- AeroTech N3120X-PS – newly certified
Additional Component Approval:
- Titanium Forward Seal Disc – approved for use in all RMS motor sizes
This marks the first wave of certifications since the relaunch of the TMT program and showcases the committee’s renewed capabilities with its modernized testing system.
